FACSS – Formal Assessment and Certification in Somalia and Somaliland
A programme which is helping Ministries of Education to develop new and modern examinations systems for primary and secondary schools.
SEEDS - School Environment and Education development for Somalia
Development of science and maths lessons using CDs and work cards and training of teachers to use these mediums. Development of mobile science units and the training of teachers and labooratory assistants to use them.
IDPs - Support to Internally Displaced People in Somalia
Literacy and skills training for young people who live in IDP camps
Nomadic and Pastoralist education
FABE - Flexible approaches to basic education
Working with children from nomadic and pastoralist communities, this programme provides basic literacy and numeracy classes to 5,000 children ages 8-14
DARET -Delivering appropriate and relevent education and training
A programme designed for 16-25 year olds. It teaches literacy, numeracy and vocational skills that are relevant and appropriate to the nomadic and pastoralist way of life.
